I know we all love our blogs! And I feel that I have typed so many things that are memorable and I worry that someday I'm going to login and it's all going to be gone! Wouldn't that be a tragedy??? Does that scare any of you? Or am I the only one? I know there are much bigger fish to fry and good gravy, ton's of waaayyyy more important issues BUT we are making memories here people! And in the midst of all the trouble in the world, this is a release and it's FUN!
I have met soooo many wonderful Christian ladies here who are truly inspirational! It amazes me! I also really think that my kids, my husband and maybe other family members may get a kick out of reading it! You know? Or maybe they won't care...I don't know...hmmm....now I'm rambling....but what if they do care and it's just GONE?!
Ok, now I'll get to the point because there really is a point...I promise...OMGosh.....and wouldn't it be soooo cool if we could all meet up someday and have one big bloggers party???? I would love to meet you guys!!! I know, don't say it, I'm rambling....
So anyway, I tried to print mine and it doesn't print right! Has anyone else tried????
I found, and I'm sure there's more, this really cool site that can make our blogs into a BOOK!!! How fun would this be??? There's probably a ton of sites out there with all different prices but this is one that I stumbled upon. I, for one, would not want to spend a ton of money doing this so if any you have already done this and have found a site that is less expensive or if you have found a way to do it yourself...please stand up and give me a HOLLA!
Has anyone ever thought about turning your blog into a book? I have! So..check out this site and tell me your thoughts, if you have any, or tell me that you really don't care and that you have other priorities that don't entail printing a silly blog...

That looks pretty interesting..
ReplyDeleteHow would one do it.. Yearly?
I think it would be neat to do..
interesting concept... I'm not sure I'd actually do it myself, but I say go for it if you'd actually read it
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, HeLLO!!! did you say PAR TAY?? That would be soooooo fun! I wish we could find kind of a central location to meet. it would be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteand secondly, yes, i would love to have a bloggy book. my question would be can you add to it over time or do you have to do a NEW one every so often as you continue to post??
I think that's a fantabulous idea. I'll have to quit blogging so much or they'll run out of paper though. ;)

ReplyDeleteI plan on printing mine yearly!
ReplyDeleteI have self published a book at Blurb
ReplyDeleteYou can check out the book,
Grandma And Me
An Arkie's Musings
I would love for all of us women, bloggers, moms whoever to get together that would be the biggest most funnest (is that even a word) time!!!
ReplyDeleteI too have wanted my blog into a book but didn't even know if that was possible but if you find out how let me know!!!!
Oh, and thank you for putting up the Menkes ribbon that really means a lot :)
ReplyDeleteBlurb does one. I have never used them for a blog book, but have for other books and like the quality.
ReplyDeleteI'm game for a little get together, wouldn't that be great...
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!!!! How cool would that be. Let your kids look back or yourself for that matter years from now.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know I would so love to meet you. Next time I go to Chicago to see my brother we're gonna have to meet in the middle!!! :-)
Oh, I LOVE both ideas!! The idea of meeting all you bloggy friends makes me just smile!! And Yes I want mine printed out to for my kiddos to read later on too!! We're writing some of our best and worst memories here!!
ReplyDeleteOh I know - every once in a while I think, "what if Google goes out of business and my blog disappears?" Don't know if I'm ready for a book - it's only been about 5 months - but I really should copy the text into Word and save it on cd...
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea!(both of them) I would love to meet you and all of my bloggy friends from whereever they all may be!! (i don't even know where most live!) But hey, I'm from AR if you didn't know that already...lol!
ReplyDeleteHow cool would that be- to get together and to publish our handiwork. What a keepsake! I am going to look into the blurb website that scrappy girl recommended. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeletekeli, to the right of my blog down low is where I printed my book through blurb. You can also view like the first 10 pages or so of my book. I just slurped my blog and then spent a little time arranging and changing picture templates.
ReplyDeleteI have 200 some pages and over 300 pictures and printed it for $40 with $10 shipping and handling.
I loved printing through blurb. it was so easy.
If you have any dark or semi dark pictures I would recommend lightening them a bit more, in a photo software or just choose a different picture.
TIP: If you did any meme's or things like that and it had a picture, BLURB will come back and say the resolution is not quality to print. I tried it anyway and it still printed fine. So, that's good to know.
You also have the option of deleting any posts that you do not want in your book, after they slurp your blog. I didn't want a bunch of free giveaway shouts that I put on my blog. So, I deleted those too. Really I don't mind if you look at my book. Feel free.
I think MckMamma uses blurb too. It does sound interesting. Definitely something to look into.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. I do worry about my words being gone.
ReplyDeleteI also love this idea there is a site called Blurb that I have had friends order from. They thought it was around the price of a scrapbook...What a great idea!!! Now, where should we meet? Oh, wait (not sure I was actually invited) =)
ReplyDeleteum, first of all, blog party?! I'm so there! As long as I don't have to organize it. haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd making a book out of your blog? What a cool idea! I'm looking into that Blurb thing now, thanks Mother Goose!
